Hawaii(: flying, texting, internet...?

So i;m going to hawaii soon, and it will be my second time flying on a plane, im 16, last time i was on a plane was when I was 5. So, would I be able to text this girl I really like on the plane ride from oregon to hawaii? wb internet? oh, also I have a fear of planes, (crashing) help to get over it?
