Why do Zionists want to annex and build settlements on the Palestinian West Bank so bad?

those settlers are a minority. based on pictures of them and their dressings i guess they are fitted to the "Religious Zionists" affiliation which are differ from the "Haredi" in their dressing (not just black and white) and in the places where they tend to live. those people are a minority (17% of the israeli jews define themselves as "Religious Zionists"). not all of them are pro settlements. i'm for example consider myself 1 of them but i'm tend to be against settlements and i'm not living in there (i live in tel aviv). do not generalize. should i say that muslims are pro terrorism because some of them are? (91% support for Mercaz HaRav massacre in the Gaza strip)
